The slogan for the Uganda Marathon is “an adventure like no other”, and that is certainly the case, because if you’re looking for a PB then find another race! The Uganda marathon will take you up and down hills, through beautiful rolling terrain and some of central Uganda’s most stunning scenery. More than 5,000 people descend from all over to run in this event, bringing the trademark African atmosphere: joking, laughing, dancing, singing, high-fiving – we guarantee you’ve never experienced a run like this before!
The beautiful east African country of Uganda offers excellent tourism infrastructure, fantastic birding, a pleasant tropical climate, excellent coffee, friendly people, photogenic scenery and some very special wildlife viewing, including many primate species along with Africa’s famed Big Five.
Our specialised, guided, 8 day Uganda running and safari combination is perfect for wildlife lovers and those with a sense of adventure. It combines the Uganda marathon with four of the country’s world-famous national parks, providing you with the opportunity of experiencing the famous Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees of Africa’s rainforests up close, along with seeing many other mammals, birds and more.
