Day to Day Itinerary
DAY 1-3:
Jock Safari Lodge – Kruger National Park – Upon arrival at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, you will be transferred to Jock Safari Lodge, the start of an unforgettable family breakaway.
Jock Safari Lodge is in Kruger National Park’s southern region, on a private concession. Where the Mitomeni and Biyamiti rivers meet to become one, making it a superb place for wildlife sightings.
Here you will be treated to luxury and wildlife like no other. With morning and afternoon game drives hoping to see Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Buffalo, Elephant, Impala the list is endless for the wildlife you will encounter. The chance to take part in a bush walk with experienced rangers will leave you in awe of the nature around you.
The children will not feel left out as they will have ample activities to experience while staying at Jock Safari Lodge, including taking part in the Junior Ranger training and even a night walk around the camp. Keeping the children entertained is what sets Jock Safari Lodge apart.
Between the game drives and ranger training for the children you can relax by the pool, play a round of gold at the infamous Leopard Creek Golf Club or relax at the inhouse spa – Pilgrim’s Rest Retreat.
Your 3 nights here might feel too short when it is time to leave but Cape Town is going to stand out like no other.
DAY 4-7:
Cape Town – On arrival at Cape Town International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel at The V & A Waterfront where you will be spending your 4 nights. The V & A Waterfront is a central point in Cape Town from where you will get access to explore the sights and sounds of The Mother City.
To explore the city and surrounds you can make use of the red hop on – hop off buses which depart from The V & A Waterfront. You can take the wine tour which will take you to Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek where South Africa’s famous wines originate.
Table Mountain is a must see, going up the cable car is an experience in itself as the view over the city and the sea is unforgettable. You can choose to have lunch on the top of Table Mountain enjoying the views around you.
You can spend a morning at the iconic Cape Town Two Oceans Aquarium. Their Exhibits showcase the incredible diversity of marine life found in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, offering a window into underwater worlds. From the tranquil Kelp Forest Exhibit to tiny treasures at the Microscope Exhibit, each Exhibit holds a new wonder and a fresh opportunity to learn.
You can take a day tour of Cape Point and Boulders Beach. Cape Point has dramatic cliffs, pristine beaches, and breathtaking views, the reserve is truly a sight to behold. Cape Point is more than just a pretty place; it is also home to a unique variety of fauna and flora. Taking “The flying Dutchman” Funicular to the top of the cliffs to view the Lighthouse and spectacular views. Visiting the African Penguin colony at Boulders Beach will be a remarkable encounter.
A morning can be spent going to the Robben Island a UNESCO World Heritage site of cultural significance. You will learn about the Islands multi layered 500-year-old history.
A day at the beach is not to be missed, you can get a hop on hop off bus and go to Camps Bay famous for its white Sandy beaches and its location between azure Atlantic and the Twelve Apostles Mountain Range. Your days in Cape Town will be filled with exploring this wonderful City or relaxing at a local restaurant at the V & A Waterfront but the memories will last forever.
DAY 8:
Departure – This morning after breakfast you will bid farewell to The Mother City and be transferred to Cape Town International Airport for your flight home.
