Kruger Safari FAQs
When is the best time to go on a Kruger safari?
For game viewing, the dry season (May–September) is ideal — thinner bush and animals concentrating around water make for excellent sightings. For green landscapes, birding and newborn wildlife, the summer months (October–April) are beautiful, though the bush is denser.
Is a guided safari better than self-driving?
A guide transforms the experience. Our specialists know where the animals are, read tracks and behaviour, and share knowledge you’d never get on your own — dramatically improving both your sightings and your understanding of what you’re seeing.
Will I see the Big 5?
The Kruger is one of the best places in Africa to see all five, and our itineraries are built to maximise your chances. Wildlife is wild, so nothing’s guaranteed — but few destinations offer better odds.
Are your safaris suitable for families / older travellers / first-timers?
Yes. We tailor trips to suit different ages, fitness levels and experience. Walking safaris require reasonable mobility; game-drive safaris suit almost everyone. Just tell us who’s travelling and we’ll match the trip.
