This unique safari has proven to be very popular as it combines seeing the beauty of nature with being active. Ou accommodation for the Madagascar Scuba safari is situated on a small island just off Nosy Be Island. Our lodge is a short walk from the sea , hosting large populations of sea turtles. Here the reef supports a wealth of tropical fish and a diversity of hard and soft corals and the flamboyant brightly coloured critters that live amongst them: reef fish, nudibranchs and rare pygmy pipehorses to mention a few. This is as much an underwater mecca for divers and snorkelers, as it is above the water, rewarding those exploring on foot or in a kayak – with a wealth of unique indigenous plant, animals and birdlife.
Accommodation is either in traditional rustic bungalows for two, or larger villas for two couples, all with private bathrooms, fans and mosquito nets. Watch out for inquisitive lemurs in the trees above. For those keen to relax between dives – chose between a massage or cocktails on the beach – need we say more!
At this location there is the option to experience the unique world of Fluro Diving. This relatively new form of diving, done at only a few lodges around the world, lets divers experience something entirely different. See the underwater world in a way you never have before as the reef and animals light up in a technicolour rainbow of wondrous colours under a blue light. Divers use special torches and mask filters provided by the Lodge’s Dive Center to reveal a new world hidden to our eyes.
