With more than 500 recorded bird species, Kruger National Park offers some of the finest birdwatching in Southern Africa. Its diverse habitats, including riverine forests, open savanna, wetlands, woodlands and seasonal rivers, support an exceptional variety of resident and migratory birds throughout the year.
Whether you’re an experienced birder looking for lifers or simply want to enjoy a day immersed in nature, every outing offers exciting opportunities for memorable sightings.
While birds are our main focus, Kruger is also home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, and encounters with elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalo and many other mammals often add to an unforgettable day.
What to expect:
Your guide will collect you from your accommodation before sunrise, when bird activity is at its best. Pick-up times vary according to the season and your location.

Once inside the park, your guide will tailor the day around finding as many quality bird species as possible while sharing fascinating insights into the park’s wildlife, habitats and ecology.
We stop at picnic sites and rest camps during the day for breakfast, lunch and comfort breaks.
